AneuScreen Detection

A simple, cost-effective diagnostic that provides detection and risk assessment of brain aneurysms would allow clinicians to better triage patients, quickly treating those with risky aneurysms while more frequently monitoring those deemed stable. Over the last 10 years, we have conducted multiple blood-based biomarker studies to identify genes associated with aneurysm presence. From these studies, we have developed a patent-protected gene panel for IA detection, called AneuScreenTM. We recently conducted a large study with approximately 500 patients to assess the performance of our assay and companion algorithm. The model achieved an AUC>0.80 in a large, independent validation set.
